How much does it cost to rent an e-bike?

Prices vary by model and rental duration – you’ll find the current daily rates directly on the relevant bike’s page.

Do I need a driving licence for an e-bike?

For most of our e-bikes (pedelecs with assistance up to 25 km/h), no driving licence is required. One exception is the Haibike SDuro S 6.0: as an S-pedelec with assistance up to 45 km/h, it’s legally classed as a moped, which requires an AM licence, an insurance plate, and mandatory helmet use. You’ll find the details on the relevant bike’s page.

How far can I go on a single battery charge?

Range depends on the model, the terrain and the assistance level you choose. We’re happy to advise you in person on which model fits your planned route.

Is an e-bike suitable for hilly terrain or longer distances?

Yes, that’s exactly what e-bikes are designed for: the motor assistance takes much of the effort out of climbs and long distances. If you’d rather go fully human-powered and sporty, our road bikes are a good fit; for everyday comfort, our touring bikes might suit you better.

Will the e-bike fit my height?

Let us know your height in your booking request, and we’ll advise you on which model suits you best.

Do you have an e-bike with a low step-through frame?

Yes – the Lapierre E-Urban 4.5, the E-Explorer 7.6 LS and the E-Explorer 6.5 LS all feature a low step-through frame that makes getting on and off easier.

What’s the difference between an e-bike and your other bikes?

E-bikes give you motor assistance for greater distances or hillier terrain with less effort.
If you’d rather ride fully unassisted and sporty, our road bikes might be a better fit; for everyday comfort, our touring bikes are a good option.
